Styled In Sequins: 2015

Derby Riding Boots

Thursday, December 10, 2015

Hi y'all! I'm a little late with this post because I've been dealing with finals and tons of different tasks for work. Now that the semester has ended I can finally focus on blogging a lot more. If you live in Texas you know how crazy the weather has been lately. This is a great outfit for those days when it's cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. I've been obsessing over boots with sweater dresses lately for the winter. This dress is so perfect for holiday parties or even for the office! This dress would also look amazing with a fur vest or a puffer vest. Of course I had to pair this comfy dress with my favorite scarf which is on sale for under $15! Tory Burch is still having their boot sale. You can get a pair of Tory Burch riding boots right now for under $400! The ones I'm wearing are called the Derby Riding Boots. (The back of them give me some serious heart eyes!) Unfortunately, these are currently sold out. I'll keep y'all updated when they're back in stock. They have tons of other great options though! I highly recommend Tory Burch boots because the quality is amazing and lets be honest they look cute with everything.

Shop Cyber Monday

Monday, November 30, 2015

Hi y'all! If you're anything like me you tend to avoid Black Friday shopping at all costs! I get really uncomfortable in long lines and when I'm around crowds of people. Instead I shop the sales online especially on Cyber Monday. I've compiled a list of my favorite shops and the sales they are having for Cyber Monday. Grab a cup of coffee and snuggle up in bed while you shop some amazing deals! If you're trying to find the perfect gift I highly recommend getting this gold mug from Anthropologie. It's a limited edition and typically sells out fast so get it while you still can. I'm a sucker for anything comfy so of course I had to pick up this pajama set from Victoria's Secret Pink. You can currently mix and match the tops and the bottoms to create the perfect set! Victoria's Secret also offers tons of great gift ideas. (I know where I'll be shopping for my sisters!) I've also linked my bed down below. My bedding and lamp are all from HomeGoods.

The Perfect Holiday Outfit

Friday, November 27, 2015

Hi y'all! I hope everyone had a very blessed Thanksgiving. I loved spending time with my family and eating tons of food. (I've been in hibernation mode all day!)  I wore this outfit for Thanksgiving but this would also be so cute for Christmas parties! Pretty sure this outfit will be on repeat for me until after Christmas. The best part is most of this outfit is currently on sale! This faux-suede skirt is on sale at Old Navy for only $22! My scarf is also on sale for $14.67. I use this scarf a lot because it goes with so many different options and can be worn in several ways. Blanket scarves are a great way to complete any outfit! Tory Burch is currently having a HUGE sale. If you spend $250 you get 30% off! Spending $250 is pretty easy to do at Tory Burch so why not save some major money right?! Now that Thanksgiving is over we're starting to decorate more for Christmas. We love to decorate our apartment and our Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music. I've been listening to Chris Tomlin's new album Adore a lot lately and highly recommend it.

All White & The Perfect Wrap

Saturday, November 14, 2015

Hi y'all! This weekend has been full of shopping for holiday home decor. We picked up our very first Christmas tree today! (We're a little too excited about it) We also toured some apartments that are closer to my job and we fell in love! I can't wait to move in and give you guys a tour. Stay tuned for that! So I've been living in comfy wraps lately. With this colder weather blowing in it's no surprise right? Francesca's has a huge selection of wraps and ponchos. Wraps are an easy way to throw a cute outfit together. I always throw one on when I'm running errands and want to look put together. Currently all accessories at Francesca's, including the wraps, are buy one get one 50% off!! Talk about a steal! This Lush tunic is a closet staple! It's perfect for the fall and goes with wraps, scarves and ponchos. It's also long enough to wear with leggings and ridding boots if you want a quick/comfy winter outfit option.

Wedding Wednesday - "Will You Be My Groomsman?" Ideas

Wednesday, November 11, 2015

Hi y'all! Last week I posted some bridesmaid box ideas well this week I'm giving the guys a chance to get creative! Lets be honest if I let my fiancé ask his groomsmen to be his groomsmen he would simply text them the question. Of course I want every moment of our wedding process to be special so I've given him tons of options for popping the quesion. I've linked some cute ideas for you ladies to show your man! Personalizing gifts is always my favorite and it makes them so special. If you want his groomsmen to use their gifts after the wedding stick to personalizing with just their monogram or name instead of putting groomsmen on everything. They'll definitely get tons of use out of the items listed below am I right? I hope this gives you brides some great ideas!

Herringbone Vest & Hunter Boots

Saturday, November 7, 2015

I've been lacking outfit posts lately because the weather in Houston has been so horrible. I braved the rain today though because I just had to share this herringbone vest I picked up recently from Francesca's! This vest looks practically identical to the J.Crew version for half the price! Francesca's also carries a wide variety of puffer vests. I've seen a few other ones I'll need to snatch up soon. I don't know where I'd be without my Hunter Boots. These are my favorite boots and are so perfect in this crazy Houston weather. This is no secret but for this of you that don't already know I'm a huge monogram addict. Practically everything I own is monogrammed! (I'm not even mad about it) When I  first saw this clutch/cross body I knew I had to have it. It's perfect for football games or a date night! The white boyfriend shirt I'm wearing is currently on sale for $22. This shirt is a closet staple and offers tons of layering options in the colder weather.

Wedding Wednesday - DIY Bridesmaid Boxes

Wednesday, November 4, 2015

Hi y'all! As most of you know I'm getting married next year! I'm so excited to share my wedding planning process and fun DIYs. I'm starting a new segment on my blog called "Wedding Wednesday" which is basically me talking about weddings every Wednesday. (Makes sense right?! Lol!) I recently popped the question to my bridesmaids and my maid of honor! I had the idea to make cute little bridesmaid boxes that would go well with our theme.

These "Will you be my Bridesmaid?" cards are so adorable! I Do! by April Heather Art has a huge selection. You can customize your cards to match the actual hair color of your bridesmaids and maid of honor. How awesome is that?! I wanted my bridesmaids to have matching tanks they could wear when we go shopping for my wedding dress or do other fun activities. This tank from RIDTHISIN is excellent quality and looks amazing on every body type. I got my girls a size bigger than what they would typically wear so it could have a loose fit. I also got one that says Bride. I thought it would be cute to clip together bridesmaid hair ties with the colors of our theme. For the colors I went to my local paint store and grabbed some cute swatches for free! I knew I wanted to give my bridesmaids wine because wine is my absolute favorite. I didn't want to just give them a plain mini wine bottle though so I coated it in glitter. I bought the boxes, straws, and bows from Michael's. The paper on the inside is from Paper Souce (my all time favorite store). I'll link the other details below and include the DIY I used to make the glitter wine bottles. If you're thinking about a fun way to pop the question to your bridesmaids I highly recommend doing bridesmaid boxes.
My bridesmaids loved it!

Our Paris Engagement

Saturday, September 12, 2015

Hi y'all! I'm so sorry for being such a bad blogger lately. I've been super busy with work, traveling, and starting a new semester in college. I'm ready to get back to blogging since I'm finally organized enough.

Isaac and I went to Paris, France last month. I thought we were going just for a little vacation, but Isaac had something bigger planned for us. On our first night in Paris Isaac took me to see the Eiffel Tower. He asked a sweet lady to take a picture of us and then turned to me, got down on one knee, and popped the question. I couldn't stop crying! After I said yes he pulled out a lock for us to lock our love on the Love Locks Bridge. It was seriously so perfect. In the tenth grade I told Isaac that I would want to be proposed to in Paris. I can't believe he remember and planned it out after all this time. He told me he had the ring for over a year, but he wanted to wait for the perfect moment. I can't stop staring at my ring and I'm still in shock that I'm going to marry my first love/best friend. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I'm so excited to share a wedding series on the blog soon!

Apartment Inspiration

Hi guys! First of all, welcome to my blog! I've been wanting to start a lifestyle blog for so long and finally here it is. I'm so excited to share some of the furniture we've bought for our apartment and what's been inspiring me lately. My boyfriend and I recently moved into our first apartment together. We started out with absolutely no furniture. Isaac has been so sweet throughout the whole process because he's let me pick out all the furniture. (Of course he has to "approve" of it before we actually buy it.) I've been really trying to focus on buying quality furniture and classic pieces for our apartment.

Bed // Nightstand // Rug

I'm planning on sharing an apartment tour once I finish buying a few more pieces.
